Read your Device code
Install Mercista and open About › License. You will see a 12-character Device code, for example ABCD‑EFGH‑JKLM.
Send it to us
Send the code with your order details. Each key is made for that code, so it works on that computer only.
Paste the key
Paste the license key into the License key box and press Activate. Done, for life.
Why a key tied to the computer? It keeps licensing simple and honest, with no account and no server. The Device code is a one-way code made from your computer's hardware identifier, and it is the only thing we ask you to send.
What happens if…

License questions
Does the key expire?
No. A lifetime key never expires.
Do I need an internet connection to activate?
No. The key is checked on your computer. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Is the key tied to the version?
No. The key is not tied to a version number, and updates are free: install the newer version over the old one.
Can I move Mercista to a new computer?
Yes. Take a backup, install Mercista on the new computer, restore it, and send us the new Device code for a new key.
